What type of licensing and accreditation does Elizabeth’s Kessler Rehabilitation Center have?
Kessler Rehabilitation Center, including the Elizabeth location, is licensed by the state of New Jersey. It holds accreditation from The Joint Commission for safety and quality of care. Additionally, some of its programs are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
How often will I see my doctor during my inpatient rehab stay, and what is the level of interaction with my physician?
During your inpatient rehab stay, you will see your rehabilitation physician at least three times per week. In the first week, all visits must be conducted by the rehabilitation physician.
After the first week, one of these required visits can be conducted by a non-physician practitioner with specialized training and experience in inpatient rehabilitation.
What are the typical activities and equipment available in a therapy session at Elizabeth’s Kessler Rehabilitation Center?
Therapy sessions at Kessler Rehabilitation Center include manual therapy, exercises designed to heal and regain strength and mobility, and personalized treatment plans based on the patient’s specific diagnosis and goals. Equipment often includes tools for physical and occupational therapy, such as those for vestibular and vision rehabilitation, as well as specialized equipment for conditions like TMD and chronic health issues.
Are there community passes available, and what are the criteria for obtaining one?
Yes, community passes, often called Culture Passes, are available. To obtain one, you must be a resident with a valid library card from a participating library system (e.g., Pima County, Maricopa County, Phoenix Public Library). Passes are available on a first-come, first-served basis and grant free admission for two people to participating arts and cultural institutions.
Passes must be checked out in-person and used within 7 days.
